Incentive Lies Beneath Everything

I lay alone in the silky sand

In coastal California I put my back

I made a family there

In America

I was pushed out of my thoughts

Reality now another dimension

Waiting to be explored

I sat up now

Life to me was an unforeseen disaster

A barricade to prevent me from entering my dreams

My parents had taken the hard decision

Moving away from family

Just for a better future

They had taken the first step

Building a ladder for future generations

To come and explore the land of success

And now it was a new age

Where my whole family was in the USA

I sat up straight

Solemnly

I walked towards the waves

Almost luring me inside

Tempting me to walk inside the marvellous world inside

I knew this was the last straw

Fighting reality was too hard for me

I had been fired from my job

After hearing stories about this world

I had finally stepped inside at the age of 10

I had so been enticed in its wonderful ways

Guaranteeing success

Beguiled by my unforseen fate

I felt the cool breeze

Engulfing me

I saw the waves crashing

Pushing the rocks beyond

Never stopping, with everlasting energy

Constantly breaking the rocks

In search of new land

It knew it would never get

The world was filled with people

Devoid of their dream

Life was too valuable to be distracted so easily

I walked back home

Lost in thought

Inspiration truly comes in the most unknown ways
