Death

Death is a widely varying topic,

Sometimes it is a destination at last

Sometimes removal of pain

Sometimes it's a country's flag you want to be wrapped around in

I have not seen death so close till now

But a recent event has caused a change in thought,

Never-before-seen memories flood my mind,

As I make a desperate attempt to stop time,

In a mad race to save a life.

Death is widely accepted by many as destiny

Fighting it no more than wasting a penny,

And stopping it a false show of immortality

All they want is someone to be around,

Someone to love,

Someone with a minute to spare

To watch him take his last breath

Some die with rifles in hand

In a desperate attempt to serve a nation,

Full of patriotism and pride,

Guns in hand they fight proudly,

Death accepted long back,

When they joined this art.
