The Endless Race of Life
The Endless Race of Life
We are all following this dream aren't we ? One with money innumerable and the passion to work harder just for that. Trying to increase your salary even if you have crossed the extent of success, even if you can't do more. You push yourself until you fall. Is this the right way ? Life is short and what should we do in this time that flies away so fast ? Should we try to cross all limits of success or just cherish the small, peaceful moments of life.
Is it just human nature to talk beyond each other's backs, trying to fire someone to come ahead of him or her just for that promotion. Or is it a habit imbibed by you from the environment around ?
Is there any limit to success ? That largely depends on how you measure it, that is by success or happiness.
Everybody is told to stop playing the children's game at some point of time. Some are told at 15, some are at 40, some are also told at 80.Those who are told early measure life by success .Those who are told late measure life by happiness. Those who are not told at all don't measure life. They just live it.
So what defines you? I really think it is not your abilities or your achievements but how you choose to live your life. The purpose of your life, something that will make your life worth living defines the choices you make, the hard decisions you make and the roads you choose to tread upon.
Should we run in the race of life for the best school, job, house and car ? Is it your conscience that speaks here, your ideology or just human nature ? Are we even looking at the cup of glory we are running for or just rushing ahead with the crowd ? We never look back to see what we really want, what we missed, what we could have got. If only we had stayed behind to look around with a mind of our own not one of others thrust at us.
Sometimes when you feel that all is lost just look ahead at what's left to lose. There is so much we can get if we don't lose hope by comparing our loss to others victory. Everyone has a weak heart. The key is to trick your heart into believing anything.
Are small moments like a wistful smile or a glint in the eye worth living for ? Or should we just aim far ahead for the big moments of glory ?
Remember, your choices show what you truly are, far more than your abilities.
Don't lose your conscience in the midst of this race of life.
I leave this decision to you. Reply in the comments section with you answer.
Indeed very deep thoughts for a child as young as you. Stay close to your parents and discuss each thought that comes your way as you think through these. Writing them and putting them away is one of the best methods to vent...
