Dawn after Dusk -- A New Plan for RCB

Image
RCB have been playing catch-up for the past few seasons but with a few key players released from RCB and other teams this is a big opportunity for RCB to buck up. I wouldn't say that Udana and Shivam Dube were good releases since Udana's variations are really helpful and Dube can become better after a few years. It feels like RCB is just trying to get a clear-cut team which is pushing them towards the wrong track. They need to train players and with these players released they will now need to go all out on Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and Jimmy Neesham. We need a good bowler but I think RCB will mostly just take Morris and Udana back since all the best bowlers are taken. We can also take Mathew Wade after his show in the India tour of Australia recently. Carey is a  good option and can come in at  No.4. Also Daniel Sams, being a left-arm bowler will be a good addition to the team. Awaiting for the auction on Feb 18th I will be both excited and nervous hoping for a better and str

Too Harsh to be True ---When Stars are Scattered

Image
When I first found out that "When stars are Scattered" was a graphic novel I felt that it would be boring. It was more like stepping down a level instead of moving up. A range of emotions ran through me- mostly confusion. Stumped, I did what I usually do when in doubt. I read. And read. The book caught my attention and the fact that it was a true story amazed me even more. Boredom- a feeling that was never expressed and enlarged by any authors was constantly used here, rightly so. This book is about Omar and his brother Hassan who are in a refugee camp called Dadaab in Kenya- taken care of by their foster mother, Fatima. They were forced to move there during the war in Somalia, their hometown. With their father dead and their mother lost they don't have a purpose in life- a feeling enlarged by the boredom. Education here was limited, like a lollipop. Only if you were among the toppers would you have a chance to go to middle school or high school. They tried to savour the

Mouth stays open--- Too difficult to digest --A month of cricket

Image
Wow ! Takes some time to digest huh? Pujara's blow and that brilliant six by Sundar of Pat cummins. The brilliant Sundar - Thakur partnership almost blew me over the edge. What a month of cricket! I could have chosen this over a World Cup final. Well, who would have thought that the weakest Indian cricket team ever defeated one of the best sides in their own homeground and won in Gabba (their undefeated arena) narrowly when the coaches found it difficult to form a playing 11. Now the admiration of Pujara after all those blows has certainly gone up. Who could have made a story without King Kohli and with the villian Steve Smith ? Unlucky for the film industry who couldn't come up with such a story first !! It is difficult to comprehend if the Indian Team had already thought of going for a victory before Tea on Day 5 (Gabba Test). Well, we can certainly say that Saha has a very slim chance of making it into the Test side since Pant has definitely played an innings to remember. Ho
